Personal Profile

Dr. Xiao Liang(1966-), male, senior engineer, Master Supervisor, deputy director of the experimental teaching center, and senior member of the China Computer Federation (CCF). He graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 1988 with a bachelor's degree in Software, after graduation he stayed on to work as a teacher, and obtained a Ph.D degree in Computer Architecture in 2009. Having engaged in computer theory and experiment teaching and research, he excels in doing researches and organizing teams. His main research directions include computer system structure, mass storage system, computer performance evaluation, digital media technology, database technology, etc.

He has participated in many vertical and horizontal projects such as National Program on Key Basic Research Project (973 Program), the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program), and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (general program), with a cumulative scientific research fund of more than 10 million RMB. As the project leader, he presided over one experimental project "Online Virtual Simulation of CPU Design Based on RISCON". The experimental project "Online Practice Teaching System of Computer Composition Principles" won the first prize of the 12th University Experimental Technology Achievement in 2021 and the first prize of the team of the 3rd National College Green Computing Innovation Competition (Practice Teaching Group) in 2020. He has published more than ten academic papers in authoritative journals and conferences at home and abroad. He participated in the compilation of the textbook micro-course version Principles of Computer Composition, and participated in the theoretical and practical teaching of the Chinese University MOOC Online Course "Principles of Computer Composition". He has won three second prizes of the Teaching Quality Excellence Award, two excellent bachelor's thesis advisors of Hubei Province, and one excellent bachelor's thesis advisor of the university level. In 2016, he was awarded the school level “Excellent Head Teacher”.
