On the morning of July 29, the closing ceremony of "HUST-University of Sydney Parallel Programming Hands on Workshop" was successfully held. Hui Yi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Computer Science& Technology, Professor Bingbing Zhou from the University of Sydney, and all the students of the workshop attended the closing ceremony, which was hosted by Professor Feng Lu from the School of Computer Science & Technology,HUST.
At the ceremony, Hui Yi expressed gratitude on behalf of the School of Computer Science & Technology to Professor Bingbing Zhou and the relevant staff from HUST for their hard work in this summer school. He emphasized that this summer school program significantly expanded the international academic perspectives of the participating students,and hoped that they would make good use of what they have learned and continue to strive in their future studies, applying the ideas of parallel programming to practice.
Secretary Hui Yi presented Professor Bingbing Zhou with a certificate of recognition for delivering the workshop. In response,Professor Zhou expressed his thoughts on the HUST-University of Sydney Summer School, praising the students for their exceptional performance. Moving forward with the ceremony, he awarded workshop program completion certificates to the students who successfully completed the workshop. Furthermore, Professor Zhou announced the names of the outstanding students and presented them on line with certificates of recognition. He also extended congratulations to the students on their successful completion of the workshop.
Liu Han, the representative of outstanding students, said in his speech, in just 20 days, I was fortunate to learn a lot of parallel programming under the guidance of Professor Zhou, I not only learned how to program using different architectures, but also gained a deep understanding and mastered the concepts of parallel algorithmic design and programming through the featured real-world practice, which benefited me a lot.
This featured summer school lasted for three weeks, and a total of 63 students successfully completed the workshop and received their completion certificates.
