Fifty years' endeavor, seizing the hour, seizing the day.  New era's prospect of computer science & technology, broad and bright.

In October 1973, the Huazhong Institute of Technology introduced three majors: Electronic Precision Machinery, Electronic Computing, and Computer Software. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in 1979, followed by the School of Computer Science and Technology in 1997. Over the past 50 years, the School of Computer Science and Technology has been imparting knowledge and skills to its students, who have excelled in different fields. This October, we commemorate the 50th anniversary of Discipline Development of School of Computer Science and Technology at HUST.

A series of events will be held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Computer Science and Technology Discipline Development on October 5, 2023. The schedule is as follows:
