Personal Profile
Dr. Guan Tao, professor, supervisor of doctoral candidates,graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology with a doctorate degree in Communication and Information System in 2008. In 2010, he joined the Digital Media Lab of the School of Computer and Technology of Huazhong University of Science and Technology to engage in teaching and research. He has been engaged in researches concerning computer vision and computer simulation research for a long time. His main research interests include automatic 3D modeling and understanding technology based on images (sparse and dense reconstruction, grid generation and optimization, scene content understanding, etc.), augmented and virtual reality, and simulation support platform. He has published over 20 high-level papers in IEEE/ ACM Trans, ICCV, CVPR, ECCV and other journals and conferences.
