1. Postpone the exam

(1) Application for postponing the exam

a. If you are unable to take the exam due to special reasons, you should apply for a postponement of the exam at HUST PASS three days in advance. If you cannot apply for the test in advance due to acute disease or accident, you must apply for a postponement of the exam at HUST PASS before the test starts.

b. Students applying to postpone two or fewer courses in a semester must be approved by the tutor, the deputy secretary, the academic registrar, and the associate dean of teaching.

c.The deadline for examination and approval is 24:00 on the same day that students submit the application for postponing exams. Therefore, students who apply for the postponement of the exam must take the time to contact the counselor, deputy secretary, academic administrator, and vice dean of teaching and complete the approval process as soon as possible.

d. After your application is approved, you can postpone the exam. Those who do not participate in the examination without approval will be treated as absent from the examination.

e. Students who had applied for a retake can only apply for the postponement of the exam due to illness or if the time of the retake exam conflicts with the exam time of the initial course.

(2) Apply to take the postponed exam

The time of the postponed exam is usually the same as that of the make-up exam. Those who have applied for the postponement of the exam according to the regulations should apply for the postponed exam online at the beginning of the second semester according to the relevant notice and take the exam with the postponed exam form issued by the Office of Academic Affairs.

2. Apply for a make-up exam and retake

a. Check personal scores and find out the subjects that need to apply for the make-up exam and retake.

b. At the beginning of a semester, pay attention to the relevant notice of the School.

c. During the application period, you can log in to the micro campus or HUB system to apply for a make-up exam or retake.

d. After all students have completed the make-up exam, the Office of Academic Affairs will print and distribute the make-up exam form uniformly. Please bring the form to take the make-up exam.

e. If you cannot apply for the retake or make-up exam online, please go to the Office of Academic Affairs within the application period to collect and submit the paper version of the application.

Notes:

a.Apply for a retake in strict accordance with the application period in the notice. If you miss the application time, you will be responsible for the consequences.

b.Students who have already applied for a postponed exam during the final examination must apply for a make-up exam during the application stage. Otherwise, you will not be able to participate in the make-up exam (postponed exam).

c. No make-up exam is arranged for the courses examined by the assessment method. If any student fails in the courses examined by the assessment method, please do not click the make-up exam button(if you accidentally click the make-up exam button, you may not be able to apply for a retake for the next academic year).

d.If you apply for retakes for such courses as PE, physics experiment, or engineering training, after going through relevant procedures, you also need to contact the School of Physical Education, the School of Physics, and the engineering training center.

e. If you have already applied to retake the course, but our School does not offer this course in that semester, while other Schools offer corresponding courses, you can go to the corresponding School's classroom with the retaking form (if you do not have the printed retaking form, you can get the manual retaking form from theOffice of Academic Affairs).
